This in turn will put you in a negative calorie balance - you eat less than you burn.

 

Then and ONLY then will you burn the energy that is stored in your body - the unwanted fat.

 

It works the same way if your goal is to gain muscle (or to maintain your body weight for that matter) you always have to know how much you are burning during the day, so you can effectively manipulate your calorie intake. That is how you get results.

 

Saying all this I fully realize that trying to find out the daily calorie expenditure and the activity factor might not be your thing.

 

And even if it was it's not that easy to say the least. It takes time to do it the first time around, and then to change it every time you have to manipulate your meals.

 

And you will have to. Because as your body changes your eating MUST change, too. Only this way will you be able to continue to support your fitness goal
