Do you take enough fiber? If not, then you are not doing enough to clean your intestines from the waste, building up there. The minimum recommended daily fiber intake is 20 – 30 gr. but if you ask me it should be double that amount. So, even if you eat your veggies and fruit, you still need extra fiber – soluble and insoluble.
In my opinion the best way to take fiber is if you mix it with your protein shakes and blends (click here for some of my recipes). The ideal form of fiber is the one that combines soluble and insoluble, and it is a source of omega-3 fatty acids. I am talking about ground flax seeds.
You can buy ground flax seed from the health store near you or online. Look for organic flax seed meal, which is sealed to prevent oxidation. It should be a product of a reputable company also.
